What are program levels?
To facilitate how people identify and participate in events and resources that address their needs, The Green Roundtable has developed levels that clearly define what prerequisites or background are necessary to grasp the information presented. All Green Roundtable events will be labeled with their education level to help you decide which events are appropriate for you to attend.
Level I: An introductory level presentation. Material is basic, uses accessible language, and provides visuals and examples. Level I events are usually in the format of a presentation, discussion, or a combination of the two. Level I events provide participants with the knowledge base for level II events. No previous knowledge of green building or design is required.
Level II: Level I or some green building knowledge is a prerequisite. The focus is on further developing green building knowledge by discussing specific issues and how specific skills can be/have been implemented. The material is more technical in nature and the language may include some "industry jargon." Level II events provide participants with knowledge base for level III events.
Level III: Level II and/or green building knowledge and experience are prerequisites. Level II seeks to further develop knowledge of those with considerable technical experience in green building by training them on applying specific skills. The material is very technical and requires prior education in the area and the language is specific to the industry.
