Do you spend more and more each year on utility bills? Do you worry about America's dependence on foreign oil? Are you concerned about how global warming is changing the planet? Would you like to use less energy but can't seem to get started? If so, this workshop is for you!
The Low Carbon Living Program, an energy and carbon reduction program organized and sponsored by MCAN, is an easy, fun way to reduce the cost of home energy and the impacts of global warming. You'll lose at least 5,000 pounds of carbon a year-about 10 percent of the average American household's energy use. Even better, chances are good that you can do this without spending more than a few dollars. Come learn about the program in a fun, casual and interactive setting at the NEXUS Green Building Resource Center. There will be people on hand who have been through the LoCal program to talk with you about their experiences. We'll also be giving away valuable "goody bags" full of energy-saving products and offers, and will be providing light refreshments. Please join us!
